Xiao Fan Fang is one young woman who loves reliving her childhood memories in the work she creates as much as she enjoys producing fantasy-style artwork and unusual product designs

One notable aspect of Xiao’s portfolio is her impressive collection of pen illustrations. Xiao’s illustrations are so rich in detail that it is easy for one to lose touch with the fact that they were all created with simple tools that we often take for granted – the conventional pen and paper. Xiao’s illustrations are almost exclusively in black and white although occasionally colors do come into play.

The INSIGHT-group exhibition is one of the largest series of exhibitions to feature young Malaysian designers abroad and will debut in Shizuoka, Japan at the Asia Design Conference and Exhibition organized by The Center for Creative Communications from 29th Oct - 11th Dec 2010.

The exhibition will aslo showcase non-malaysian designers from Japan , Korea,Singapore and Taiwan.

The event's official opening will feature invited guests such as Laurence Ng --founder of IDN Jackson --Curator of

Black Design and a lead member of Phunk Studio, Daisung Kim -- Chairman of Korea Design Week and art directer of the Seoul Design Olympics and Gino Woo -- Creative Director of Wieden+Kennedy (Shanghai). And last but not least, Malaysian designers Driv Loo and Muid Latif will be there to help out in running the exhibition. Thank you to all those involved.

Artwork submitted by some participants of the INSIGHT- group exhibition are printed by Roland of Japan while some participants have chosen to print on their own high quality exhibition material. The list of participants include:
